The Sport and Recreation Management program is focused on preparing you for your future career, providing you with management principles related to planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling. Topics to be covered will include, but are not limited to sport and recreation administration, event management, marketing, revenue streams, sponsorship and sales and collegiate athletics.
Job growth within the field of Sport and Recreation Management is on the rise. There is demand in the marketplace for well-educated and well-trained candidates. As part of your training, majors are encouraged to pursue internships to gain invaluable on-the-job skills. The Sport and Recreation Management Program prepares students for not only the next steps in their career but also for graduate school. Many graduates will go on to pursue their master’s in various programs such as: an MBA, MS in Sport Management, MS in Marketing, or MA in Communication.
