Curry College has a growing club sports department for all interests and skill levels. Curry club sports programs offer students the opportunity to participate in competitive athletic programs without the time commitment required to participate in a varsity intercollegiate athletic program. There are no cuts on any team and equal playing time is encouraged. No previous experience is required to join either!

Club sports contribute to the student's physical, emotional, and social growth experience. It’s a great way to meet other students on campus who have similar interests and motivations.

All of our clubs compete against other regional colleges and universities and in most cases are part of their respective national organization.

Dance Team

The Curry College Dance Team has been a club sport since 2015. They perform at football and basketball games as well as various events around campus. They are a competitive Jazz and Pom team that compete at local regional competitions and well as travel to Florida for national competitions. They hold auditions in the Spring and Fall.

Equestrian

The Equestrian Club is one of our original club sports and has been on campus for years. The club provides a place where equestrians can come together in their shared enthusiasm for horses and riding. The club provides access to horseback riding opportunities at all levels. Members have the opportunity to take lessons at the Creek Crossing Farm in Hingham. Members take lessons weekly and learn how to safely ride and care for the horses.

Golf

The Curry College Golf Club (CCGC) provides a club where all students interested in the game of golf can come and play and improve their playing abilities. The CCGC promotes knowledge about the game of golf, grows interest in the game, and provides members with the tools to improve their skills on and off the golf course. They practice at various local courses such as Brookmeadow Country Club, Ponkapog Golf Course, George Wright Golf Course, Robert T. Lynch Golf Course, and Presidents Golf Course. Members of the club have the chance to compete in regional tournaments throughout the year against other local collegiate golf clubs.

Karate

Curry’s Karate Club was established in the Fall of 2021 and holds training twice a week in the Fitness Center. The class is taught by Patriots/NFL Hall of Famer and 7th degree black belt, Andre Tippett. Students who are dedicated to the class receive a Curry Gi to wear.

Men's Ice Hockey

The Men’s Ice Hockey Club team was established in 2022, and currently competes in the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) and are recognized by the ACHA as an M3 member. The team practices and plays its games out of Cadillac Ice Arena in Walpole where they have their own locker rooms. This team of dedicated students practices three times a week and competes against colleges and universities all over New England.

Men's Rugby

The Men's Rugby Club competes in the New England Rugby Football Union’s (NERFU) Division III of National Collegiate Rugby (NCR), providing a competitive experience for veteran and new players. The team trains 3-4 times a week while competing against top competition in greater New England. Historically the team has found success within New England. The club encourages new members and has a dedicated coaching staff that will teach members aspects of the game, applying to both on and off the field activities.

Women's Ice Hockey

The Women's Ice Hockey Club team has been on campus since 2015 and competes in The Independent Women's Club Hockey League (IWCHL). The IWCHL is comprised of a dozen teams from around New England. The team practices and plays its games out of Cadillac Ice Arena in Walpole. This team of dedicated students practice 2 times a week and competes against colleges and universities all over New England. The women’s hockey team welcomes newcomers to the team no matter the experience level.
