Make an AppointmentLiving on your own. Brand-new friends. Taking the leap to college-level work. Your first year of college can be incredibly exciting, but it helps to have somebody to guide you through the transition. Curry College's First-Year Experience program supports you through all the changes that await, so you can spend more time loving your new home.
The most successful students take an active role in their education. Our First-Year Studies program gives you the tools to dive into your passions and learn how to ask—and answer—thoughtful questions. Required classes help you sharpen your writing and research skills, encourage you to play a role on campus and in the neighboring community, and take advantage of all Curry’s resources.
A little inside knowledge can go a long way. Think of your Curry Partner as a live guide to all things Curry. Partners are fellow students and staff members who can help you find campus resources, fix schedule problems or handle any issues that may pop up while you adjust to college.
Transitioning to college life can be difficult, especially if you are the first in your family to do it. At Curry, we’re committed to creating a unique community of academic and social support for first-gen college students and their families to feel confident navigating life at Curry and achieving success.
Curry’s faculty and staff are partners in your learning. Our small classes mean you’ll get to know your professors by name, and intensive, meaningful advising will help you build the confidence and skills to design your future.
Generous financial aid (you may qualify for up to $30,000 in scholarships) and our renowned PAL program for students with learning differences are just some of the ways a Curry education is within reach. Learn more about applying to Curry.
Admissions and AidThere’s a lot more to Curry than classes. Do it all: Join a club, compete in a varsity or intramural sport, volunteer in the community and spend a semester abroad. And don’t forget to explore your new home, Boston, just minutes from our tight-knit campus.
