A Business Administration degree majoring in Management can take you nearly anywhere – from Fortune 500 companies, to startups, or to our innovative 5th Year MBA.

While Management majors are required to complete at least one minor before graduation, which will enhance any student’s resume.

Management Majors are also required to complete at least one track (9 credits), which is often related to their professional interests and career plans. Track options are:

General Management Track

Any three 2000 level courses with a BUS or MGT designation Human Resources Track (pick any three from below):

BUS/MGT 2500: Human Resource Management
BUS/MGT 2262: Employment and Labor Law
BUS/MGT 2540: Employee Recruitment, Selection, and Retention
BUS 2265: Collective Bargaining and Labor Relations
BUS 2610: Crisis Management

Accounting Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with an ACNT designation (Note: Accounting double majors cannot pursue this track)

Business Analytics and Information Systems Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with an MIS designation

Economics Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with an ECON designation

Entrepreneurship Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with an ENT designation (Note: Entrepreneurship double majors cannot pursue this track

Finance Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with a FIN designation (Note: Finance double majors cannot pursue this track

Marketing Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with an MRKT designation (Note: Marketing double majors cannot pursue this track)

Sport Management Track

Any three 2000 level or higher courses with a SRM designation (Note: Sport Management double majors cannot pursue this track)

NOTE FOR DOUBLE MAJORS: Students who wish to major in more than one BSBA major cannot double count elective courses.

Students with a major in Management, will have the ability to:

  1. Discuss leadership and management concepts, theories, and applications in an evolving global business environment.
  2. Prepare students to manage a diverse workforce through effective communication, collaboration, and team-building strategies.
  3. Demonstrate effective professional communication skills through writing, research, and presentations as individuals and as productive members of teams.
  4. Apply critical thinking and analytical techniques to solve real problems related to the Management discipline.
  5. Recognize ethical principles to leadership and management decisions making.

The minimum laptop requirements for our majors are:

  • Windows 10 or 11 operating system
  • Minimum 64-bit Intel I-7 or 64-bit AMD Ryzen 7
  • Minimum quad core processor
  • Minimum 8 GB memory
  • Minimum 500 GB internal storage

NOTE: MacBooks and Chromebooks do not qualify.
