Dr. David Szczerbacki has nearly 35 years of experience in higher education as a faculty member, dean, provost, and president. He also has extensive experience in local and regional economic development, strategic planning, and organization development as professional staff, researcher, consultant, board member, and community leader. His higher education work has included system development in the areas of strategic management, program and learning outcomes assessment, shared governance, faculty development, and collaborative innovation - particularly in the adoption of "high impact educational practices" such as active learning, service learning, and civic engagement.
Prior to joining Curry College as the Chief Academic Officer and Professor of Business Management in the summer of 2014, Dr. Szczerbacki served as the Provost, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and President at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Dr. Szczerbacki also served as Provost, Vice-President of Academic and Statutory Affairs; Dean of the College of Business; Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Professional Studies; and tenured Professor of Management at Alfred University in Alfred, New York.
