Julia Sloan Professor
General Education

Dr. Julia Sloan is a professor and the Director of General Education. A Latin American and Mexican historian by training, Dr. Sloan received her PhD from the University of Houston. She also holds a BA from Tulane University and an MA from The College of Charleston and the Citadel. Dr. Sloan came to Curry from Cazenovia College in Upstate New York, where she was a Professor of Social Science and Director of the International Studies Program. Prior to that, she taught at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie.
