Academic ExcellenceKathleen Miranda joined Curry College in 2023 as the Lab & Office Coordinator in the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry with a minor in French and Studio Art from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME.
Early in her career, she worked at Boston University School of Medicine in The Pulmonary Center as a Research Assistant where she served as co-author and content editor in four major scientific journal articles. As an Associate Scientist at Serono Pharmaceuticals (EMD Serono), she established, managed, organized, and maintained a biohazard laboratory to study Benign Prostate Hyperplasia.
Later in her career, she worked as a Project Coordinator for advertising agencies, OHO Interactive and Tiziani Whitmyre, Inc. In addition, Kathleen worked as a Web Designer & Developer for The Boston Globe Media and Boston.com's Marketing Creative Services.
