Dr. Elizabeth Kudzma holds graduate degrees from Boston College, Boston University and Harvard University School of Public Health.  She was Chair of the Curry nursing program from 1981 to 1998 and MSN director 2008-2017. She has consulted on nursing education for foreign (World Health Organization, Indonesia and Slovenia) and domestic nursing programs.  She is certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC), and by the Commission on Nurse Certification (CNC) as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL).  Her publications are in the areas of women’s health, pharmacogenomics and quality and safety.  She is the editor of the 9th edition of Health Promotion Throughout the Lifespan (2018, Elsevier Mosby) and a Canadian edition is under contract.  She is a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) evaluation team leader, and was a member of CCNE’s national Accreditation Review Committee (2005-2010). She was the Curry College Quality Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) Pilot School project director.  She served on the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education Nursing Initiative Nurse of the Future (NOF) committee that wrote the Massachusetts NOF Nursing Core Competencies published in 2010. In 2012, she received the Theresa LaPlante Award from Sigma Theta Tau Theta Chapter-at-Large for contributions to nursing education and research.
