Dr. Benjamin J. Chicka is Senior Lecturer of Philosophy and Religion in the General Education Department at Curry College. He is the President of the North American Paul Tillich Society and serves as Secretary of The Institute for American Religious and Philosophical Thought. His work puts the philosophy of the American pragmatists in dialogue with technology and culture, especially video games, and highlights the importance of positively embracing diversity when debating pressing issues. He is the author of two books, Playing as Others: Theology and Ethical Responsibility in Video Games (2021) and God the Created: Pragmatic Constructive Realism in Philosophy and Theology (2022), with three more under contract to come out soon.
