Studio Arts Major and Minor
Are you creative? Want to explore a variety of different art forms? Do you dream of becoming a professional artist someday? Then a Studio Arts degree from Curry College is for you. Students may also declare a minor in art history to complement a major in any other area of study.
Studio Arts Major and MinorArt History Minor
Students with an Art History minor gain a foundational understanding of the history of art and architecture. The program requires a combination of broad survey courses and classes in specific fields and periods. Overall, students explore visual images and architecture in their broader social contexts, allowing students to understand how social, cultural, and intellectual factors help inform the discipline.
Art Therapy Minor
With a minor in Art Therapy, you can gain the skills to work immediately in a community arts organization. Alternatively, the program also prepares students for graduate study, which, coupled with certification, expands job opportunities to include careers in hospitals, schools, community clinics, or private practice.
