Curry College is committed to providing state-of-the-art facilities to support its science programs. Students in the forensic science program develop a wealth of hands-on practical experience available to them in our state-of-the art Forensic Science lab and training center.
The lab and training center consists of specialized equipment including digital forensic evidence exam stations for high definition review of evidence, a ductless fuming hood for fingerprint recovery, a forensic optical comparator for fingerprint, document, and counterfeit money comparisons, and a variety of digital microscopes. The lab and training center also houses two crime scene rooms to demonstrate the physics of crimes including blood spatter patterns and allows students to actively collect evidence in staged crime scenes.
In addition, Curry College’s new Learning Commons, featuring the state-of-the-art Science and Research Center was opened in 2019. Students in the Forensic Science program utilize the brand new Microbiology, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, Physics, and Research Labs, all as part of their undergraduate experience.
