The Social Achievement in Learning (SAIL) program is designed for academically capable students with neurodiverse profiles who benefit from individualized support to reach their full potential in a college environment. SAIL-appropriate students thrive when provided with social coaching, transitional assistance, self-advocacy support, and sensory-friendly housing. Our students often have diagnoses of ASD, non-verbal learning disorder, social-pragmatic language disorder, and/or co-occurring diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and executive functioning challenges, or self-report a demonstrated need for social supports.
The SAIL team includes a Speech Language Pathologist and a Wellness Coordinator, along with Community Directors with specialized training in ASD and students’ social, behavioral and organizational needs.
SAIL is for full-time, undergraduate students who have already been accepted to Curry College and benefit from assistance:
SAIL is NOT meant for students who require behavior interventions and/or are unable to perform daily living skills independently.
(PLEASE NOTE: Interested students need to complete an interview along with submitting the SAIL application. SAIL students are also eligible to apply for the traditional PAL model.)
