Curry College women’s lacrosse head coach Kelsey Regan recently announced a new team member, signing 6-year-old CC through Team IMPACT. CC was officially introduced at a signing day press conference on February 11 at the Curry College Student Center. She will participate in many activities with the team including games, practices, and other team events.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
Excited about her new teammate, Curry senior Casey Conneely commented, “CC joining our team has been such a special experience. She has already brought so much joy and energy, and it's been amazing to see her personality shine. Watching her confidence grow and the way she connects with our team has been incredible. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our lacrosse family, and we can't wait to share this season with her.”
